Is Afriex Legit or a Scam?
All indicators point to Afriex being a legitimate platform. The platform has appropriate global licensing to operate as a financial service provider and has been doing so for several years now.
Note that while the platform is legit they have quite a number of bad reviews on the Play Stores and the common theme seems to be duplicated transactions, tedious transfer process and account verification issues. Here are some of the most recent reviews;
“I think the people behind this app are con masters. I made a single transaction and my account was debited twice. Despite the fact that the mistake was from Afilriex and several requests for my money to be refunded, they insisted I pay a surcharge for a mistake that was theirs. I’ve stopped using it and also encouraged my friends not to use it.” Nicholas Ejeh from Google Play Store.
“This app was good until it started duplicating fund withdrawals from my account. This occurred 9 times over the course of 6 months. I recently reported this and was told to wait 10 days for a refund with a 4% charge. I never authorized these duplicate deductions. I was issued a refund 5 days after reporting the issue but the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. No longer a customer. Pay attention to your account if you decide to use this app.” – Se UYI from Google Play Store.
“Up until recently the app was amazing but now it’s become difficult to use. It’s now tedious. Multiple verifications with no real explanation as to why the account is now subject to a review. Now the latest security feature OTP verification doesn’t send the code and when asked to redirect to Whatsapp it doesn’t recognize the code sent. I’m not sure what happened but unfortunately, I’m no longer inclined to use anymore, it’s just too frustrating to work with at this point.” Aurora Borealise218 from Google Play Store.
Most of the complaints were duly attended to by the Afriex customer support team, urging the customers to contact them with their complaints on the official Afriex Customer Care email.
